The demand for professional programmers is decreasing

The market for low-code development tools is growing at over 20% year on year, with sales of rapid development tools reaching $13.8 billion this year.

This has happened despite the fact that the epidemic situation has led to significant cutbacks in the IT sector worldwide, but the use of low-coding technologies is still growing.
One reason for this is that increasing business demands are putting increasing pressure on IT managers to dramatically reduce the time spent on individual developments.

According to Gartner research, 41% of employees - not specifically in IT - are customizing some kind of software tool to make their work more efficient.

And by 2025, this process will lead to half of the customers for low-coding-demand solutions no longer coming from within the IT organisation of the company. In other words, we are talking about business solutions that bypass IT.

And the COVID epidemic has only reinforced the need for teleworkers to be able to create automated solutions that help their companies adapt to a changing environment, but in many cases without the need for familiar IT processes.

At the same time, people in business also want to implement their own ideas to be able to better automate their business processes.

From SQeLme.hu one of our goals is to help this process by promoting Oracle Application Express as a low-code, rapid development tool.
